Measure with your own hair flat against your head — no ponytail, no clips. Keep the tape snug, not tight.

Circumference — right around the head: across the front hairline, above the ears, down over the nape. This is the measurement that decides your size.
Ear to ear over top — from the top of one ear, over the crown, to the top of the other.
